Polyadipic adipic diamine, commonly known as nylon -66, is a thermoplastic resin, is generally made from adipic acid and adipic diamine polycondensation. Insoluble in general solvents, only soluble in m-cresol, etc. High mechanical strength and hardness, great rigidity. Can be used as engineering plastics, mechanical accessories such as gears, lubricating bearings, instead of non-ferrous metal materials to make machine shells, automobile engine blades, etc., can also be used to make synthetic fibers.

What Is The Difference Between Nylon 6 And 66

Nylon is a semi-crystalline polymer. The arrangement of hydrogen bonds between nylon 66 and nylon 6 is different, and the regularity of atomic arrangement of nylon 66 is higher than that of nylon 6. The closer the hydrogen bonds are arranged, the higher the crystallinity. Nylon 6 hydrogen bonds have two arrangements, with about 50% of the arrangements having longer and weaker tilted hydrogen bonds. Nylon 66 has only one arrangement of hydrogen bonds, which are arranged directly in a row to form a strong, dense polymer structure.
